Writer | Researcher | Donor Relations Expert
I am a communications professional with a knack for developing more meaningful content by analyzing data and giving audiences what they want. My degrees are in print journalism, international studies, and business. I have taught English in China and worked as a butcher. I currently work as a tour guide and researcher where I share our most interesting true stories with visitors to New Orleans.
I also use my skills to help donors understand how their gifts impact the organizations they support by providing expert recommendations for customized communications, including video, print, and digital content, to tell meaningful stories.

Tours, Research, Storytelling
My work in the tourism industry includes writing tours and researching the stories of New Orleanians. I publish on my blog.
I’ve been contracted to research the history of dueling, specific buildings, and individual New Orleanians. I’ve also fact-checked tours. When I started verifying stories for my own edification, I realized that many weren’t true. These articles are some of my favorite findings on my blog so far.

Ochsner Magazine
Ochsner magazine was my primary stewardship tool, telling stories of donors, caregivers and the patients they serve from across all campuses of Ochsner Health.
I served as the editor of bimonthly Ochsner magazine, providing expert recommendations on content development, donor journeys, and testing strategies, resulting in increased ROI and donor retention.

Custom donor Impact Reports
Personalized stewardship via reporting and recognition is my specialty.
I also created personalized impact reports for constituents, along with other customized materials to support fundraising teams, including analytical dashboards, processes and procedures manuals, and strategic plans.

Video Production
I tell your impactful stories through video to produce the best results.
Videos provide deeply emotional content that inspires more conversions than any other format. I have skills and experience interviewing subjects, filming, and editing to produce videos that inspire giving.

Donor Recognition and Signage
I work with the best vendors from across the country to produce meaningful, thoughtful, and beautiful signage to recognize donors and other constituents.
Recognizing donors is a proven way to maintain donor loyalty, and I am adept at finding eye-pleasing ways to incorporate signage into the style and branding of a location.

Special Event Mementos
Individualized keepsakes for special moments with truly personalized details is a hobby that I love exploring, especially through the lens of history.
I enjoy creating customized programs for weddings and other events. I’m particularly interested in incorporating the history of a location into the details using old newspaper archives and other historical records.
